🔧 A Very Eventful Week at Oliver’s Locks – From Alignment Fixes to Emergency Callouts

It’s been one of those weeks with a bit of everything.


We started off with a couple of door alignment issues, both caused by doors slowly drifting out of position over time. A few careful adjustments and servicing later, and they were running smoothly again.


Mid‑week took an unexpected turn when I injured my wrist, meaning a couple of jobs had to be postponed. Massive thank you to the customers involved — your understanding genuinely made things easier while I rested up.

And then came Friday, which more than made up for the quieter days.


🔐 Lost Garage Keys – Entry & New Lock Fitted

First call of the day was a customer who’d lost their garage keys. We gained entry non‑destructively and fitted a new lock to get everything secure again.


🚪 Three Sets of French Patio Doors – All Out of Alignment

Next was a home with three separate sets of French patio doors, all suffering from the same issue: no servicing over the years, alignment drifting, and the doors becoming stiff and difficult to use.

After a full service and alignment on each set, all three now open and close smoothly — a huge improvement for the customer.


🔄 Cylinder Issue – Quick Swap & Smooth Operation Restored

A quick trip over to another customer to replace a faulty cylinder. Simple fix, but a big difference to how the door operates.


🚨 Evening Emergency Callout – Cylinder Barrel Fallen Out

To finish the week, an emergency callout this evening where the barrel of the cylinder had completely fallen out of the door. A new cylinder was fitted straight away, and the customer kindly left a lovely 5★ review to top off the day.
